Six 12 oz ceramic mugs, one each in red, sunny yellow, serene blue, zesty orange, lush green and a grey that pulls the group together. Everyone gets their own colour, which quietly solves the question of whose cup is whose on a busy morning.
Twelve ounces is a generous everyday size: a proper mug of coffee, a pot of tea shared between two, hot chocolate for a child or a bowl of cereal in the hand on a Sunday. The porcelain body is smooth, glazed and pleasant to hold.
Dishwasher safe, so the set goes back into service without ceremony.
Six mugs per set, in six colours.
Colourful enough to lift a plain dining table or an office kitchen shelf.
A set like this also makes a welcome present for a new home or a shared flat.
